I hate everything

This is what I look and feel like saying to Shaun post Asylum workouts.

LIKE OMG. I talk alot about Asylum; 1) Because it's my blog and I can write what I want and 2) Asylum has consumed my life, mostly with total body soreness. I have to remind myself it's only 30 days. I just finished Day 15-which is Speed and Agility. This workout is a beast-but it's getting more "doable" (in a teensy tiny way) which means I push harder. OHHH CAN I TELL YOU SOMETHING SUPER DUPER EXCITING?!!! I can jumprope. Not just regular skip rope. SPEED ROPE. And I can FINALLY keep up with the warm up portion that includes the speedrope. And that's why I can compare myself to this guy now:
On *some* days (not really)

My speed is improving and so is my agility. But DEAR LORD IT IS SO HARD.
That's all I can think of to really explain this sheer madness awesomeness that is Asylum. I will buy some stars and stripes pants after all this and compete in the Olympics when I'm done. Believe that.

Super squirrel is coming to get you

Between dry heaves-I felt like my super "S" was maybe making an appearance. In my back of throat vomit.

OK. So, I am on Day 6 of Asylum, which is "Speed and Agility." Now for me, this is my most challenging workout that I've done so far. This time was a BIT different. I sort of knew what was coming up, and I figured out that DANG JUMPROPE (except the jumprope move with switch the feet incorporated. Uhmm...NO.). Everything else-it's like my mind and feet are starting to CONNECT! The planets are beginning to align! The first time I did it, I might as well have given it to my 3 year old to do, because that's how much coordination I felt like I had. It was so bad. I *maybe* could video a little bit and show you snippets next time I do this one. I was able to push harder-which made me dry heave and cough ALOT-but no vomit, yet. Next time-who knows. This little squirrel monkey (me) will conquer the jumprope (in my wildest dreams) and the ladder (yeah right, who am I kidding). I am still laying on the floor in a pool of my own sweat typing this, which is so gross on so many levels, but I can't manage to get my butt off the floor. So it still (and always will be) is a beast of a workout. I give myself this time around....3 out of 5 double hopscotch ladder agility runs. Last week was probably a -100. So yeah, improvement? That's all that matters.

DAY 1: SPEED AND AGILITY from INSANITY: THE ASYLUM

This is probably the face I was making about 2 seconds into the warm up. *No exaggeration*

So. This workout is BANANAS. Death is probably easier. In the warm up alone, I had to stop multiple times to catch my breath, and I have multiple lashings on my ankles from the jumprope. Yes, you have to speed rope. Alot. Criss cross speed rope, high knees speed rope, speed rope while switching/crossing your feet back and forth. OMG. Then comes the ladder. Or as I like to call it-THE DEVIL. I can't even explain how I felt VERY uncoordinated throughout the whole thing. Some things I was *ok* at-but mostly-I sucked at everything. OH but I did burn 914 calories in 46 minutes. Which is great-but the whole time I was like, "ARE YOU SERIOUS?! WE'RE DOING WHAAAT? OMG THIS IS SOOOO HARD! YOU ARE CRAAAAZY!" (This is exactly what I was yelling throughout the entire thing and J can attest to this).

So besides all that-I loved it. I love a new challenge-AND THIS IS DEFINITELY A FRIGGIN' CHALLENGE. Lord Almighty-I just hope I get better at it. I give it 5 stars of crazy. (A good crazy). Now go get yours so we can complain together.

I'm not agile nor do I have speed apparently-Demi

So.So.So. SOAR!

Words. I need to find the words that describe the soreness in my body from just doing the FIT TEST that is only 25 minutes long from INSANITY: THE ASYLUM. Granted; I did do an hour of cardio earlier in the day...but DANG. I'm skeered for today's workout! A little more about the workout program itself: It comes with a nutrition guide which is VERY doable and looks yum to me. It also comes with an agility ladder (which I have never worked with, and uhm..not very good at doing "drills" with it). And a jump rope. You think it would be like grade school jumping rope, no it is not. It's a speed rope, and he has you doing that shiz for a long period of time, and FAST. Power jumps from Insanity now seem like skips in the park compared to the jumps in this program that I've seen and done. It incororates speed, agility, and all kinds of other crap to help you excel in every sport ever created by man. Like the stuff pro athletes do. OY. Ok I'm barely awake now, so I'm going to leave this blog post at that. I need to get my mindset right so I can do this workout. Yikes.

soar demz.

Rest or StretchX..Hmmm..

Not sure what to do. I'm thinking I'm going to do some jump rope (If you don't know me, I'm a super duper jump roping kind of gal, super speed rope kind of thing, and it's a weighted rope-great cardio!), and just some stuff off the top of my head for 20 minutes, followed by stretchX after church. Sounds good to me! Now to enjoy my daily b-fast of Shakeology! Yum!

I hope everyone has a great Sunday-spend it with those you love :).
