SORENESS. Friend or Foe?
I really do love waking up and feeling sore. I do. Call me a masochist. Whatever. The soreness we experience after workouts are really the body’s natural response to pushing yourself to a higher level of physical activity than it’s normally used to, and a part of our body’s normal process of adaptation. This is an amazing progression in which our body breaks down, then starts the recovery process, heals and rebuilds. As a result, we get stronger (the process of building muscle). We will notice that the soreness usually hits you the second day after your physical activity (DOMS-"Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness) and after a day or so of uncomfortable soreness, you get progressively better and soon return to feeling your normal self. So this is something that I love to feel-BUT! If the soreness is messing with your sleep patters, you are angry all the time, you lack appetite-THAN it can lead to overtraining. That's a whole 'nother beast so I suggest you let Google help you with that.
The following pic is something I won't do. Not that I CAN'T DO IT, because I CAN, (not really), but I still think it's a cool pic. Plus I would be worried about getting ran over. And that would definitely make me sore.
OK-so today is my oldest daughter's graduation day from 4th grade! Bring on the Summer sand and water. Will post more pics laters.

DAY 20 OF ASYLUM ***DONE*** and mash potatoes
I can see the light. 10 more days. 10 MORE DAYS. And I can send off my before/after pics and get my dang tshirt. BECAUSE THAT IS ALL I WANT-MY TSHIRT. Anyone that completes this should get a medal really-this is just mayham. I had Game Day and Overtime yesterday (see previous post), and today-Verticle Plyo. What a fabulous follow up. I was soooo looking forward to this. (can you just HEAR my sarcasm). Whatever. I do what's on the schedule, no matter how painful. Well, not really painful-just EXHAUSTING. And that's one thing I wanna say-with Insanity-I know alot of peeps were getting knee injuries, back tweaks and all that (engage your core people!). With Asylum-I DON'T HAVE ANY PAIN, except plain EXHAUSTION, and the expected wretched soreness. Soreness does not equel pain, IMO. Pain is a pulled muscle, tendons breaking, bone breaking, that kind of thing. That's the only time I think anyone should take a rest day. If you are sore-suck it up-and do your scheduled workout. This is my accurate description of my soreness today, and I still did the workout, so you can too:
I don't even know what this means. But my body does feel "mashy." Hence mash potatoes.
I need to shower or lie in the tub for 2 hours. So, that's all I have for now. Bye.

TIRED/sore/PAIN and HAPPY BIRTHDAY ISABEL!
I woke up at 4 AM PEOPLE. Why? Because I am in pain. Oh the brutality. Sore as hell from *Idontevenwannasaythenameanymore* you know what. I had the computer close by (btw that is not me pictured above, but a close comparison) so I decided to complain about it-to you. You're welcome. I have the jumpy workout today. WTH. This week is going to be wrong on so many levels so expect aLOT of craptastic whiney blogposts. I want my Shakeology soooooo bad but I cant even fathom walking downstairs for it. Maybe I'll do this instead:
Again-this is NOT me. But I'm totes jealous and wish I had it. Within arms reach.
In other news: MY BABY IS THREE YEARS OLD TODAY! Time REALLY does fly-and you know I used to HATE when people said that-because time doesn't really "fly" around. It just happens when your not doing anything. Or doing too much you forget that amazing crap is happening all around you. I prefer to be in the middle. Anyway-I went through 6 hours of natural birth with that little bugger-and I still remember the feeling of the

Easter, feeling crappy, and sleep. Wow. That's a great title.
UUUGH. I am BEYOND SORE. I can't get out of bed..yet. I had Verticle Plyo yesterday, then we went boating and spent the day in the sun. Got burned on my butt (like, how DOES that even happen??), and I'm just friggin' tired. Boating wipes you out-on top of shananigans like asylum-well yeah, today I am feeling it. Today is just stretching. I'll feel accomplished if I can even get out of bed to do that.
In other, much more important news: IT'S EASTER! We celebrated with Easter baskets and talked about what Easter really is about. They did have candy though. Alana dove in, like head first into that basket of goodness. Isabel had her first M&M. At first she thought it was just regular candy. Then she bit in, and I could see it on her face; "My mind is blown. It's both a candy AND chocolate!" I feel you on that one sister.
Looking forward to when I can see this guy again-Demi
