I guess we're doing OK as parents

Today was the last day of school before Alana's Thanksgiving break. Her teacher told her to write down what she was thankful for, and it could be absolutely anything. This is what she wrote (in her spelling, just in case you can't see in photo):

"Thankfulness
I am thankful for Jesus becas he tacs kaer of us and I love Him.
He loves me.
He tacs kaer of the wherld.
I whunt to meet God."

So simple. So pure. She is my little angel!

And of course, a turkey is included!

Thanks

I am thankful for my sweet daughter Alana today. She is so loving, and has the sweetest heart.

Well, that's nice.

Before leaving to go to work and passing the baby off to me in the mornings, like he usually does (Jason) he tells me, "Have a great day a work, babe."

Hey, there's a first time for everything! And that's what I'm thankful for today.:)

No videoo :(

Well I was not able to load up a video of me doing my makeup today, and I know you are so devasted about it! haha. Funny (well to others, especially if they saw it, Jess, you heard it!) story..I fell down the stairs today. Thank GOD I was not holding the baby at the time, but I definately took a tumble. My back is still killing me, I always fall on my butt for some reason, and my lower back is paying the price. So I've been confined to the recliner for a good bit of the day, Jason came home to watch both kiddos while I recuperated. He then suggests I take one of his muscle relaxers. They need to call them knocker outers, because I passed out for almost 4 hours! When I woke up, I didn't know where I was, and I though it was the next day. GEEZ and my back still hurts, so I don't know if I'll take one of those again!

Today I am thankful for:

-my husband that came home and let me rest.

-that little pill that allowed me some rest to "cover up" my pain. Hey you can never have too much sleep!

-that Isabel slept in until 630 today! woohoo! she was on a 5 am wake up for weeks now. hopefully she will keep it up!

-that Thanksgiving is coming up. Aaaah, the food. Thrilled!

-I am thankful that alana is not shy, and she stands up for herself, even at school. it's such a great attribute to be forward and bold. Hopefully this wont bite me in the ass when she's a teenager though. uuugh.

Help me to Forgive

Thankful Thankful Thankful:

-Green tea (again)

-Isabel's jumparoo-combined with BabyFirst TV (on dish network, also known as "babycrack") it's the only way I can eat in the morning

-Alana got a 105% on her spelling test!! That's a superduper A++. LOVE HER and love all the hard work she is doing in school. Apparantly she's the ms. popular because other kids will get in trouble all the time for coming to her desk to talk to my little latina. I don't know how to feel about that yet.

-That we still have a roof over our heads, yeah!

-That reconciliation will happen soon.

Thanks

So I am in a foul mood today, but I will give thanks, I have to, I need to..

-My husband. Even though we can get in fights like rabid dogs sometimes (far and few between, but still!) we eventually, and always, do makeup. We are not like Whitney or Bobby or anything, but sometimes, GEEZ we get on eachother's nerves and then we make up like it's going out of style. Valuable info is learned every time and I am always reminded that he really does love me, quircks and all.

-the relationship that Alana has with my father. It's quite remarkable, and I just sit and stare at there interactions sometimes. Plus, she gets whatever she wants from him. Sucker! haha.

-And finally, that we made a last minute decision to spend the weekend at the beach! A dear friend of mine is out of town and said we can use it, so we definately are! Anyone up for dinner on Folly sometime this weekend? Fun times!

OH I almost forgot...

Things that I am thankful for:

-My parents (they NEVER will say no to watching my kids, or anything I ask them for that matter)

-dimmer lights

-fluffy blankets and chilly weather

-our bed, it's friggin' amaaaaazing

-a quiet night tonight in downtown charleston

-that Alana is learning some pretty tough and important life lessons right now, but she is persavering. 6 years of age is a tricky age right now.

-that Jason can tell just by the look on my face when I need some help. It's like he can read my mind, and I don't even have to say anything, he just does it.

-that God is so forgiving. Grace is my friend right now. :)
