I don't care if this blog doesn't inspire you to get fitter-or if my blog title offends you. If you would like to remain unfit, unhappy, and unhealthy-that's on you my friend. It's not about being "skinny." How about some low cholesterol levels and healthy blood pressure. The ability to walk up stairs without gasping for air? Doesn't that sound appealing? Anyway, That's all I gotta say about that.
But hey..this can be YOU one day!
So, I have 3 days left of my first round of Asylum. I CAN'T BELIEVE IT. Today was the MOTHA of all workouts-Game Day with added Overtime <--PURE CRAZY. I HATE speed skating, and I HATE mountain climbing. 2 of my newfound personal discoveries. But, I burned over 1500 motha effing cals with this monstrosity, so I feel good about that mentally-but physically...yeah I'm just a WEE BIT SORE. I am upping my calories a little today. The more you burn, the hungrier you are-and I HATE being hungry. One thing I've learned throughout the years of my fitness journey is listening to my body. When I need to eat more-I don't eat garbage. I eat healthy, to where I FEEL good about my day. I'm a mom-and I can't be laid out on the sofa agonizing in pain. So, food and the occasional motrin helps. ALOT. I will be partaking in a recovery week, then we'll see what's next! Verticle plyo is tomorrow-I hope and praypraypray that I do good this time around. I'm watching Dancing with the Stars on my DVR so you can see I'm pretty busy right now, squeezing in some TV before the fam gets home. What? YEAH I WATCH TV. Judge away.
***UPDATE*** As I am watching Dancing with the Stars, one of the contestants that plays for the Stealers (football)-compares the jive to a "P90X WORKOUT, AND THAT HE USES IT IN THE OFF SEASON TO STAY IN SHAPE."
WHATWHAT??!!!! yeah baby!!!

Day 19-"IT" finally happened.
GAME DAY. ASYLUM. *WITH* ADDITIONAL WORKOUT ADDED IN END: "OVERTIME."
baaaaarfffff!!!!
Ya'll..this workout was built and designed for crazy people. Of course this makes me a perfect candidate but like, OMG Shaun is just completely out of his mind, batsh*t crazy. FIRST OF ALL (and I'm saying this WAVING MY FINGER in your face, cocking my head side to side, MAJOR 'TUDE. just FYI)- GAME DAY is a beast in itself-OVERTIME is only 15 minutes-but it starts like a bat out of hell right from the first second. There is stuff in there I've never, NEVER seen in my life. IT WAS SOOOO HARD. OH and another thing-SHAUN LIES. In the last 2 minutes, he's all like; "This is the last move"...and I'm like "OH THANK YOU JESUS! I MADE IT!!!" Then he goes, "Nope, changed my mind, go to the PULL UP BAR." then, then, THEN-HE LIES AGAIN. "Go to your speed rope." And THEN finish with a bazillion pushups. WTH. A WORKOUT FILLED WITH LIES AND PURE LUNACY.
But-I loved it. How does that even happen? I know he is pushing me, for the better. I can't stay in a comfort zone forever. I have to keep pushing my own boundaries-and sometimes you need a bit of crazy for that to happen. Especially as I get older, I notice my stupid metabolism slowing a bit, but thanks to Shakeology and programs like this-I can speed that shiz up a bit and progress in my health and fitness as I get older. THANK YOU BEACHBODY. and Shaun. (<--that was said in a whisper shaun. I'm not quite sure I can thank you for anything right now. Give me time to sort it out. I'm sort of mad at you). I'm sore already. 11 more days of

Today someone died. And it wasn't me from Jason's Bearnightbreathing
I don't EVEN want to post a picture of this guy who died. Or even say his name. All I know is that this was a person who led the way towards hate and terrorism against the Unites States. I was in the Marines during this particular time, and when the towers went down in NYC-I was in Pennsylvania on recuiting duty. Yes, close to where one of the planes went down. I remember we had to immediately get out of uniform (just in case any more terrorism was going down-military is, of course, the number 1 target). And then we had to inspect all of our government vehicles for car bombs. Not your typical day at the office.Let's hope that this leads the way to taking down more terrorists, and terroristic activity.
Anyway, enough of that. Back to my daily beatdown-Asylum. Tomorrow is Day 19!! Which is the first time I will do GAME DAY (read: HELL DAY) WITH "OVERTIME" added in the end. Killme. I honestly canNOT imagine throwing in more supercrazy at the end of another supercrazy workout. I think this is where I might blow chunks. I am going to treat this stretch day today; or as like Shaun likes to call it: "Relief" Day as just that. Stretching, and complete recovery, with lots of good hydration (i.e. no alcohol), protein, and a nap somewhere thrown in.
In other news: Jason will be getting a nose job! Now-don't call me nuts for being celebratory in this matter-turns out Jason had a raging sinus infection that went unnoticed foreva..so now they are treating his infection before they can fix his deviated septum. And the Dr's said his septum is MAJOR deviated (result of a broken nose from wrestling in his teenage years). Which means very soon-I get to sleep normally again! YAY! Oh yeah, he will be able to sleep better too. Let's hope they give him LOTS of recovery drugs, because have you ever heard of the man cold? When Jason gets sick, it's like that. And you know what I mean. I can't imagine what it will be like for him recovering from a nose job. I'm not very "nurse-y" so hopefully the drugs will do the job for me. Don't judge.
