Downsizing

YES-me and Jason are downsizing in our residence-we are going to live in a small, quaint, and AWESOME town home in North Charleston, and I CAN'T wait!! This will be the first time that me and Jason have ever paid rent, and it's SO liberating. I know that sounds wierd..but back history on us..we are real estate investors, and I can proudly say that we have had uber success with it. Recently though, we have a lot of people that can't pay us..long story short. So, to redeem ourselves in this tough situation, we have moved from a million dollar house in downtown Charleston (that we actually renovated, from the 1800's!), to my parents house temporarily, and now to our lovely new town home. We actually just signed the lease and move in on Saturday! It's perfect for us, 1200 sqft, 3 bedrooms, open floor plan, working toilets, running water, AC..what more can you ask for?? For the first time in my life, I am seeing certain things as such blessings, because you know what? These little luxuries that we take for granted are in such need across the world, and it's hard for us to even fathom. I'm not saying I think about it all the time, but I am reflecting on that today, and I am going to embrace the beige builders carpet, the linoleum, and the ugly paint. It's all fabulous. And I'm not being sarcastic, by any means! I really mean it, we even have a pool within walking distance! Alana is STOKED about that, and I know Isabel will have a great time there as well. I'll have pics posted as soon as I can, if anyone wants to help on Saturday-let us know! Call Jason-because he needs guys for the big stuff! Thanks!! :)

Alrighty, sinus infection, I'm going to beat your ass

I'm not giving in. I did my YogaX today, and haven't missed a day of this "Recovery Week." Woohoo! For me, this week has been the hardest, because of my sickness. But I feel I am on the healing end of things, so I'm PUMPED for Phase 2! I definately want to add size to my muscles so I am SO bringing it with the weights and my NEW PULL UP BAR, YEAH! Can't wait!

On the flipside of things, we are SO close to being done with moving in. We still have to clean the house (which will be an all day adventure, I'm sure), and empty our fridge. We are settled in at my 'rents and we actually have alot of "private" space, suprisingly, and I don't feel cramped at all. As long as I can workout and sleep, AND things are CLEAN, I can relax. If you know me, I am pretty OCD about things being organized and dust free, and I have an addiction to lysol wipes. I seriously go through 2 canisters a week, which is probably not good for the environment..but hey, this house is getting more disinfected by the day! My parents are clean-don't get me wrong. Buuuuut, they are not the "white-glove" type, which, I am. Damn military did that to me! I can tell they are loving it though. Last night we played Wii bowling with a couple tequila shots and went to bed. Awesome!

Back online!

Wow. Being disconnected electronically from cyber world is kind of disheartening! I got over it though. How can I describe the past couple days? Well, we've been moving out of the house on Spring street...I really did NOT think we had that much stuff. I was so, so, WRONG. Oh, and then just bringing it all over, and unpacking-IN ONE DAY. We were up pretty late, because I just can't sleep with a mess all over the place. I had my trusty cans of lysol wipes and 409 and lots of towels. Garbage bags..piles for Goodwill..oh my. Then today rolls around. I get up, and do my Kenpo like a good girl. Then I decide that I really need to organize the kids room (did I mention they are sharing rooms now? With LESS furniture, LESS drawer space, OMG.) That was a nightmare. But I got it done, and I stood back, and I said: IT WAS GOOD. Haha. Then the rest was just mopping floors and cleaning bathrooms; which I consider easy stuff. Organizing rooms, and more rooms is just a major pain in the ass. So once I got that done, the rest is sorta easy. And on top of aaaallll that, I get a major allergy attack from all the dust flying around, so I am sneezing a mile a minute at the same time. Did I mention I haven't showered yet, and don't think I have the energy to walk up the stairs, so that idea just seems a little ambitious for me right now. I stink, like BO and lysol combined. My feet are swollen. And I look like Rudolph from blowing my nose. Nice image, eh?

But, I am thankful still. I am thankful that my parents so graciously took all of us in again, until things settle..and we can plan our next move. Fun times. Great times to be had in the near future. Heck, we have family, the Wii, PS3 (with Rockband now, yeah!), and a crowded house chock full of some loooove. Doesn't get better, and I must say, more puertorican, than that.

Now, off to take a nap!

Ebay day

So I never realized how crazy it is having your own store on ebay. Today I created one, and listed about 15 items. It took ALL DAY. I'm listing a bunch of Jason's designer shirts, random stuff like an R/O filter, and outgrown baby clothes. I've been ironing, organizing, picture taking, and downloading. Nuts. We will be moving soon so hopefully this will lighten the layers of living a bit. I'm sure it will!
