Cooper River Bridge Run Quick Update:

I ran the 10K in 58:26 (when I crossed the finished line, so it will probably be a bit shorter, since it took us a little bit to get the starting line!) It was very therapeutic for me, and I just told myself it was not about time, but about enjoying the race. So I tuned out to my Ipod and jammed in my head for the whole race, instead of weaving in and out of people trying to get a good time. Jason said it didn't even look like I ran afterwards, because I wasn't even sweating! He said I sweat more during P90X, too funny. I was proud of myself for not stopping to walk at all, not even once during that horrendous incline!

Jason ran the 10K in 51 minutes-He was a little discouraged, because last year he ran it in 50 minutes-but there was just SO many people participating in the event, it was so hard to get around everyone. There was over 38,000 people competing!! A record for Charleston!

OK-time for a nap-it's tradition after a race, from waking up so early, and going through the paces of racetime..it's a little exhausting!! I hope you all had a great day!!

I'm..in..pain!

Sore, Sore, Sore!

And it's all Jason's fault!

I did my P90X workout yesterday, Back/biceps and Ab Ripper. Killer workout-first time with me using my pullup bar, so it was MAJORLY hard! But in a great way, course.

Then Jason comes up the stairs and asks me, "You wanna go for a short little run?" So since I only did strength training, I was like, "Sure! As long as it's short-2 miles MAX." He totally agreed. You gotta remember too..I haven't ran in over a YEAR-and popped out a baby in the process. So I really have no idea how I'm going to do.

The first mile, I felt great, I was totally in the zone.

4 FLIPPING MILES LATER-Mother Effer (Jason) takes me on a 4 mile run and makes me do sprints all throughout. I survived the hell-run, but I am paying the price today.

Thank the Lord today is "just" YogaX. I need it!

Jason, I still love you. :)
