4th of July FUN..

We had plans to go to the beach for the 4th, but the more we though about it, the more we were like, 'uhm,NO'. We've just spent a week at the beach, and let's face it, it's tough to beach it with kiddos. Especially when one of the kids is 2 months old. So we nix'd that idea, and decided the easiest thing was to have a cookout at our house. We had some great friends come over, had some of the best hotdogs EVER, and enjoyed some nice drinks. But the real fun started when I put Isabel down for the night. She went to sleep around 8pm, only to be awaken by fireworks that were being set off BY MY OWN HUSBAND in the back yard. Nice. After that was squashed, she was up for about a half hour, and then went back to sleep. We all hang out some more, and we had such a good time, especially when we have Alana to entertain us all and take a million pictures. I'm sure you'll be seeing some of those soon on my friends blogs!

Everyone goes home around 1030, and me and J settle down for the night. We were rudely awakened by this gaggle of fireworks going off right in front of our house! No joke, right.in.front.of.our.house. It was aweful. It was a miracle that Isabel didn't wake up, but me and J were definately up. After a quick call to the local police, and some cops kicking them out and taking their fireworks, we finally go back to sleep.

Oh but Isabel decides she's hungry every couple hours now so we are pretty tired. I'm pretty sure she's going through a growth spurt, because she has become one ravenous baby these past couple days. Here's to hoping she goes back to her wonderful sleeping habits soon..hey but even if she doesn't, that's ok. It just means she's getting more antibodies and some more yummy mummy time. Who am I to deny her that :)
